The Alternative Tour De France, The One Race Lance Armstrong Has Never Won…
On August - 2 - 2009
Lance Armstrong has had a remarkable career. He has won the toughest race in the world, the Tour De France. seven times. He even came out of retirement as a 38 year old and despite losing out, he still managed to finish on the podium.
Throughout his career he has been dogged by drug allegations, and the one race he has never managed to win is most probably the one race that taking drugs is mandatory!
Roll on, the alternative Tour De France. So alternative, that it takes place in san Francisco every year.
Lance has never won....

Several days ago, Forbes Magazine released a list of the most disliked people in sports. The list was compiled by polling 1,100 people on which athletes they disliked the most. I will break down their list by analyzing each player, and saying why or why not they deserved to be on the list.
Take Note, Cruel World: Michael Phelps is Back
On August - 1 - 2009
Well, Milorad Cavic, you said you were going to get your revenge against your nemesis Michael Phelps.
Guess what, buddy? You're gonna have to write your mea culpa wikiwiki to the American Superfish.
That's right, my friend, you are going to have to recant. He beat you again. I say it once more: he beat you at the 100-meter butterfly AGAIN.
Two for two, Cavic. Count it. Index and middle. Two for two.
And no, don't try to be cute and flash it palm outward towards this Bleacher Report analyst. I'm just gonna have to laugh.
The truth hurts, but it is what it is.

What Do Our Favorite Athletes Think Of Us?
On August - 1 - 2009
I've always wondered how great athletes view their fans or amateur journalists who are dedicated to writing about their lives and exploits.
I think this is the best place for us to reflect together on this topic.
Do Federer, Woods, Mazza, the players of the Dallas Cowboys or the Chicago Cubs, Paul Lavesque or Van der Saar, (among others) perhaps know their fans or people who write about them?
To what extent is, then, the dissemination we do about their game or lives? In what way do THEY affect our lives?
Many people believe that athletes should be role models, mainly regarding overvalued fair-play ...

Damali Binta Yael's Pep Talk
You can read what you want and say what you want, but I love the story of the little Hebrew boy who killed the giant, Goliath. All the Hebrew boy had was a smooth stone, and an unseen power.
Goliath is a "type" of hindrance, struggle, bad media, or opponent. David is the one who is not perceived to be strong enough, or smart enough to defeat the enemy. David, too, in this article, is a "type."
In the story in the Good Book, it is clear that the naked eye only saw a man with five smooth stones. ...

Come To Think of It: Gay Bashing in Sports Is a Common Occurence
On August - 1 - 2009
"I know most of the coaches in the country are rooting for us to beat Notre Dame," "Charlie gives this talk, 'We do something special at Notre Dame,' and (the players) get up and they do this little cheer ... this little faggot dance."
Those were the comments that Hawaii football coach Greg McMackin said at the Western Athletic Conference's annual football media preview this past week, according to Q-Tip.com.
For that comment, Coach Mack was suspended for 30 days without pay and has volunteered to take an additional seven percent pay cut from his $1.1 million salary
