Within the next 24 hours, the International Olympic Committee will be selecting the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. For those of us in Chicago, the anticipation can’t be any higher.
As one who has worked on or for four different Olympic Games since 1996, including a front row seat during the Salt Lake City bid scandal, I believe the 2016 Summer Games host city will come down to this simple question:
Does the Olympic Movement want or really need Chicago?
I believe they want Rio, but they need Chicago.

Graceway Pharmaceuticals Uses Sponsorship for “Is It AK or OK?” Campaign

Graceway Pharmaceutical and Billy Ballew Motorsports have teamed up to promote awareness to Actinic Keratosis, also known by its abbreviation "AK," and they'll use Aric Almirola's No. 15 Toyota for the campaign.
They've created the slogan "Is It AK or OK?" that will be prominently displayed on the hood, sides, and deck lid of Almirola's truck for the remainder of the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.
The goal is to promote skin cancer awareness, and the early detection of Actinic Keratosis. As well as making people aware of the long-term consequences of accumulated sun damage.

Within Your Means: Mothers of NFL Players

A lesson can be learned from the story about Sean Taylor’s mother. Bruce Watson’s article about Donna Junor caught my eye.
The story saddened me. I thought, “Shouldn’t we live within our means, no matter what our children offer us?”
When your son gets a big contract with the NFL, I am sure, if life was a struggle before that great moment, mothers and even fathers are tempted to uproot their lives, move near their wealthy son, and start a new lifestyle.
