Houston Texans YMCA, a Place for Personal Development and Character-Building

The collaboration of the Houston Texans and the YMCA has produced a place for personal development and character-building in Houston, Texas.

It is a clever plan to promote community service in the greater Houston area. Other NFL teams should follow suit and set up collaborations with the NFL franchise based in their city.

Mr. Robert Anderson, who works at the Houston Texans YMCA, says:

"It's the first and only YMCA in the country named after a pro sports team."

If a person is interested in getting in shape so that they can be energetic for the 2011 football season, then the Houston Texans YMCA is a good place to start working out.

An impressive display on one of Texas' outstanding leaders, Mr. Quentin Mease, creates an atmosphere of respect for the heritage of the YMCA concept. Mr. Mease was a leader and administrator of the earlier version of the South Central YMCA, formerly located on Wheeler Avenue near Texas Southern University, in Houston, Texas.
