12 Tweet-Addicted Football Writers to Follow on Twitter

Twitter has become an essential tool for writers in today's world of sports. Mainstream sports outlets took notice of social media's increasing importance, thanks in part to Ocho Cinco's need for attention and Craig James' son getting locked in a closet. Since then, college football writers have embraced social media with open arms. Today's media allows athletes to almost cut out the middleman, so reports and journalists have to adapt. Writers now use tweets as quotes in stories and Facebook to break news. Some even use social networking as a convenient way to conduct interviews. Granted, there are a few writers who either can't figure out how to incorporate tweets on a regular basis, or wake up first thing in the morning and start tweeting their morning routine. The bad seeds aside, some writers have really taken to usage Twitter as a tool to further their content and the discussion.
