If you’re an avid New York/Jersey sports fan, then last night was a huge night for you as well as an exhausting one if you were constantly flipping channels for four hours like myself. Boston fans were especially sad last night when considering baseball and basketball. The waterworks in Atlanta and Stanford were not far behind.
Note: Most of these teams (with the exception of the Rangers), did win on the road. What does this say about New York, New Jersey and Connecticut teams? Do these athletes handle the pressures better when they’re not playing in their respective home fields/stadiums? Or is this just an April fool’s fluke come one week late?
Regardless of where these games were played, I’m proud of these teams and am even more proud to say that I’m from New York.
Here’s a look at the various games that dominated most televisions and sports bars as of 7 pm EST last night in the tri-state area. I’ve also included my personal opinion on which athlete should’ve been the MVP for each event.
