Brazilian Jussier "Formiga" da Silva is widely considered by many to be MMA's best flyweight following a victory over former divisional-kingpin Shinichi "BJ" Kojima last July.

Currently, he's slated to fight Brazil's second best flyweight Alexandre Pantoja, at Shooto Brazil 16 on June 12. Unfortunately, for the talented da Silva, and many other Brazilian fighters, he's poor. So poor in fact, that he works as a motorboy delivering lunches.

The problem has reached a breaking point as da Silva can not afford a plane ticket to Rio de Janeiro to defend his Shooto South American title. The cost of the ticket translates to $550 American dollars and he just doesn't have that kind of money.

Matheus Aquino of Portal Do Vale Tudo, originally brought this issue to light via his Twitter account late last night, and thanks to the tireless work of Sherdog personalities, Tomas Rios and Jordan Breen asking him how fans could send da Silva donations, a Paypal account was set up for da Silva.
