Football’s Global Domination Is Complete

This summer's main sports story in the USA and Canada was unusual. Instead of being about baseball or steroid scandals, it was filled with the jaw-dropping crowds seen across North America at Football matches.

Fans fought for tickets to see Real Madrid, Chelsea and Barcelona. Week after week, match after match, the stadiums filled to capacity to see the world's top athletes perform in its most technical sport, football.

With baseball teams like the NY Yankees struggling to sell tickets, Chelsea and Barcelona had no problems selling every available ticket to football fans across North America.

The biggest sporting crowd the USA saw this summer was reserved for LA Galaxy and Barcelona in LA, as 90,000 excited fans got to see world class athletes in their hometown.

For fans tired of dropout steroid heads trying to pretend to be athletes this must have been a real treat.

With NFL failing to sell out the worlds most famous stadium, Wembley, for their flag ship competitive match of the year. European football teams were able to sell out America's biggest stadiums for merely friendlies.
