It’s All About You, Sid

Right now who would not love to be a Canadian, eh?  You can get a free lung transplant, skate to work, and best of all the Olympics are in your backyard.  What's more is that Alexandre Bilodeau won a gold on home soil for the first time.  Remember that name, Bildoeau.  Because on Feb. 28 if Sid the kid does not have a gold medal around his neck, that name will enter oblivion and so will his monumental accomplishment. 

Regardless of how much we love this nation or the amateur athletes that are competing, this tournament is all about the mens hockey team.  They win, we will have something to celebrate; they loose nary a game and that's what will dominate this country's water-cooler talk.  The only hope Bilodeau has of retaining his short-lived legacy rests with Sid, Jarome, Rick, and the 21 other men who will determine the fate of the Olympics. The pressure of an entire nation rests with them; and they know it.

Ultimately this mens hockey tournament is the only sport in the Olympics that will truly bring our nation together wearing the white and red with pride.  Bilodeau's accomplishment is nothing short of miraculous and his name will go ...
