Jennie Finch, Softball Hottie, Set to Retire

The city of Chicago is losing probably their best pitcher, as well as the best looking athlete in town.

On Tuesday, gold medal-winning and current member of the Chicago Bandits, Jennie Finch announced she will retire. Finch, 29, will appear in her final international game this week in the World Cup of Softball, taking place in Oklahoma City, before finishing out the season with the Bandits.

Finch, who won 60 straight games and went 32-0 during her junior year at the University of Arizona, helped lead the USA to gold in 2004 and silver in 2008.  She also helped them win seven straight World Championships.

"This whole career has been way more than I ever even imagined or dreamed," Finch said in an interview with The Associated Press. "The opportunities that I'd be able to enjoy and appreciate and be a part of, it's been incredible."

Finch has stated the desire to spend more time with her family, which includes husband Casey Daige, who pitches for the Houston Astros Triple-A team, and their four year old son Ace.
