The 138th running of the Kentucky Derby has arguably the most wide open field we've seen in a long time.
Bodemeister and Union Rags are the odds-on favorites, according to Sportsbook.com, but a number of other horses are closing fast with oddsmakers.
By race day it wouldn't be surprising at all to see a five or six horses in single-digit odds.
While Bodemeister and Union Rags are the top contenders, here's a look at the most intriguing contenders.
Trinniberg
We'll start with Trinniberg because the entire race starts with Trinniberg. The beyond-fast colt could set a ridiculously fast pace if he wants and that could change the entire complexion of the race.
If his jockey attempts to keep him reined in a bit there is no telling what will happen.
Currently a 50-1 shot because he's expected to falter after the sets the early pace, Trinniberg is about as intriguing as they come.
