Rocky Balboa has done the unthinkable and entered the Boxing Hall of Fame. Nothing says boxing like the “Italian Stallion” Rocky Balboa, and while some fans are upset about his recent addition, this is just the beginning as Little Mac is next.
Rocky Balboa was an iconic figure in boxing and in filmmaking, as no one will ever forget the epic battle with Apollo Creed that left both boxers battered, bruised and in the hospital to start Rocky II, where he finally defeated the Champion for the belt in a stunning ending.
Rocky raised the Russian crowd off their feet and became an inspiration due to his determination to defeat Ivan Drago. He even had the crowd chanting "Rocky…Rocky…Rocky" during the middle of the Cold War in Russia!
It’s just a movie you say?
It might be a movie, but for those in my generation it was more than just a movie. It was the story of the underdog who took over the world only to collapse and become ordinary again.
Rocky was the greatest boxer any of us have ever witnessed.
